Sky Walks in the Austrian Alps

Alpine tourist bosses are giving visitors a new high with a series of Grand Canyon-style Sky Walks on some of Austria's highest peaks.
One - on the Dachstein mountain in on the border between Styria and Upper Austria - allows people to look through a glass floor right down the 250-metre drop below them.
"It's breath-taking and a completely new way of seeing the mountains," said one walker.
Another Sky Walk at Tyrol’s Achen Lake is designed like a giant eagles' nest. And on the Krippenstein mountain in Upper Austria, designers have built a platform built like a huge hand sticking out from the edge.
