National team give �20,000 for Haiti aid

The Austrian football national team have donated 20,000 Euros to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

Officials at the Austrian Football Association (�FB) said the players had made the donation after a campaign was launched by VfL Bochum�s Christian Fuchs and Wigan Athletic star Paul Scharner.

�FB has also added its own 20,000-Euro donation to the sum.

The full 40,000 Euros will be given to Austria�s "Nachbar in Not" (Neighbour in Need) foundation made up of eight charities including Caritas, the Austrian Red Cross and CARE Austria.
