2012 Year of Happiness at BOGI PARK

2012 Year of Happiness at BOGI PARK

An Austrian cultural and community organisation Blue Sky Stuff  that works on a number of community initiatives is offering people in and around Vienna and their families a moment or two of happiness with an invitation to a children's fun park on January 6th.

Blue Sky Stuff "inspires and motivates people to find and follow their passion", and it has organised and promoted learning and cultural events in English around Vienna since 2001. It was registered as a Moedling based international cultural verein in 2008.

The event on 6th marks the Vienna launch of the "2012 – Year of Happiness“, a project promoted by blue sky stuff under www.viennahappinessproject.com.

The 2012 Year of Happiness is designed to raise awareness, promote optimism and spread happiness. It combines "Moments of Happiness“ from Petronilla Hohenwarter's Art Project Happiness which has been running since 2004, and Happiness Coaching from Nigel Stonham, MBA , who founded Blue Sky Stuff and has been its so called "Chief Happiness Officer" since 2007.

Petronilla exhibits regularly in Vienna and internationally, and opens her latest exhibition "WHAT'S LOVE?“ at the Oracle Kunst Foyer on 19th January.

BOGI PARK, Austria's largest indoor kids playground, is open from 10:00 to 19:00 and your entry price is reduced on 6th January if you print this page and take it with you – children 4.90 instead of 8.90 - and adults with kids can go inside for free.

BOGI PARK is an ideal location for this launch event to inspire and motivate both kids and their parents, which as Nigel says "gives kids the opportunity to run around and let off steam, to engage in some learning activities, and to take some moments to reflect and contemplate happiness through the works of art on show.“

One of the learning activities offered from Blue Sky Stuff is "Connecting Teens“ a program for groups of teenagers to communicate, explore and exchange information face to face and online, using facebook, skype and blogs as well as in regular team meetings. Once they are ready, the group is offered the chance to connect to another similar aged group in another country – as a form of real time cross-cultural learning. You can try it out at 2pm on 6th, as shown in the program:-

10:00 doors open, free format play
11:30 short welcome, art, and launch of 2012 Year of Happiness in a party room
12:00 lunch for the hungry ones
14:00 connecting teens event – today for 13-14 year olds – in a party room
15:30 ExPat get together, all exPats welcome, with or without kids – coffee area
17:00 end of program, free format play til 19:00

Just turn up, register at http://blueskystuff.org/2012-year-of-happiness/ or contact:- nigelstonham at gmail dot com . Be there, or miss it !
