Kelis to hit Vienna

American R&B star Kelis will perform in Austria next month.

Online music news platform Britishrock.cc reports today (Weds) that the BRIT Award laureate will rock the Pratersauna in Vienna on 20 October.

Kelis dominated the charts with her debut single "Caught out There" in 1999 and 2000 before going through a period of mediocre successes.

The 31-year-old achieved a sensational comeback with her song "Milkshake" which reached the top five in more than 10 countries all over the world in 2003.

Her most recent and fifth studio album called "Flesh Tone" was released earlier this year.

Meanwhile, US rock band Kings of Leon said they will give a concert at Vienna’s Stadthalle concert hall on 4 December.

Other recently announced gigs are performances by Oh No Ono (Vienna, 1 October; Salzburg, 2 October), Katy Petty (6 October) and New Young Pony Club (Salzburg, 16 October).
