Four elderly Scotsmen have been giving a Tyrolean town fair a special touch for more than 20 years.
The pals from Edinburgh have visited the Alpine village of Kramsach for 23 years to celebrate at its autumn fair with locals.
Jack Raeburn and his three kilt-clad mates have become the quirky top attraction of the event featuring regional food. The fair draws hundreds of people – many of them wearing traditional outfits – every year. The 2010 edition will take place on 26 September.
Regional brass bands perform traditional songs, and the Scots are usually the most coveted dance partners among the dirndl-wearing women.
"I often get asked what I wear under my kilt. I always answer: ‘Why don’t you find out yourself?’" Raeburn, 68, chuckled.
