Symphonic metal stars Apocalyptica have added another Austrian date to their autumn 2010 / spring 2011 tour, it has emerged.
The Finnish band said today (Tues) they will perform at the Posthof club in Linz on 1 April 2011. The four-member band had previously announced it would play at Vienna’s Gasometer concert hall on 19 October of this year.
Apocalyptica started making music together in 1993. The band manage to increase their fan base over the years with eclectic live performances of their songs containing classical music elements as well as traces of thrash metal.
The band’s seventh studio album "7th Symphony" was released earlier this month.
Meanwhile, online music and events platform Britishrock.cc reports that Guns N' Roses will rock Vienna’s Stadthalle on 19 September before Wilco hit the stage at the city’s Gasometer four days later.
