Fritzl finds friends in jail

Incest beast Josef Fritzl has made his first pal in prison – a notorious killer serving life for slaughtering seven helpless victims.

Before Fritzl, cold-blooded Harald Sassak was one of Austria's most notorious killer.

Fritzl – serving life for killing one of the seven children he fathered by his daughter Elisabeth during her 24 years as his sex slave – is said to have formed a close bond with the monster at the maximum security Stein jail in Krems, Lower Austria.

Pervert Fritzl has also palled up with triple killer Günter Lorenz, who killed three people, and former Olympic figure skater Wolfgang Schwarz who serves a spell for human trafficking.

Jail bosses say Fritzl has become a model prisoner since he was imprisoned for life a year ago.

Prison general lieutenant Peter Prechtl said: "He is unobtrusive and has adapted well to day to day schedules."

Prechtl said the 74-year-old child killer spent his days working as a cleaner and helped hand out meals in the prison canteen on his wing where he earns around 130 Euros a month to spend in the jail shop.

But Fritzl is so broke that he has been sending begging letters to his family for cash to spend on special shampoo for his hair replacement plugs, according to his sister-in-law Christine Ramsauer, who also revealed he wanted to study law via correspondence course.
