A panel discussion about US president Barack Obama’s vision of a world free of nuclear weapons organised by top international organisations will take place in Vienna next week.
The Austrian Institute for International Affairs (oiip) and the United States Mission to International Organizations, both based in Vienna, announced the debate’s high-profile list of participators today (Fri).
Glyn Davies, new US representative to the UN in Vienna, Alexander Kmentt of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), oiip official Heinz Gärtner and Diplomatic Academy of Vienna representative Markus Kornprobst will take part at the discussion at the Bundesgymnasium Wien 9 school in Wasagasse in Vienna-Alsergrund.
Christoph Prantner of Austrian newspaper Der Standard will moderate the debate on 18 March (6pm).
Vienna is home to one of the United Nation’s headquarters as well as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
