'Take a book - give a book' in Vienna

A "take a book – give a book cupboard" (Offener Bücherschrank) art installation has opened in Vienna.

The installation by artist Frank Gassner, located on the crossing of Zieglergasse and Westbahnstraße, features around 200 books. Gassner said everyone interested in a book can take it for free, while at the same time everyone is invited to make donations.
Gassner said the "open book cupboard" will be present for at least six months. It will be open 24 hours a day.

The installation is based on an idea by artists Clegg & Guttmann. Cities across the world today feature "open book cupboards" today.
