'Fishy' sandwich contained seven drawing pins, woman claims

Police are investigating after a woman bit into a tuna sandwich – and found it stuffed with drawing pins.

Vienna-based Christine H. told daily Kronen Zeitung today (Weds) she had got the nasty surprise when she tucked into the sandwiches at a birthday party.

"I didn’t notice them (the drawing pins) and had a bite".

She said she only escaped injury because she noticed something "fishy" about the bite in her mouth before she swallowed.

But she explained she was even more shocked when she complained to the catering company that made the sandwich and was told that it was not their fault and they had no idea how the drawing pins got in there.
