Dog rescued by helicopter in Vorarlberg

By Lisa Chapman

A Belgian sheepdog was rescued by helicopter after it slipped down a mountain side in Vorarlberg yesterday (Weds).

The dog ran off after its 43-year-old owner and his family let it off its lead as they hiked in the Three Sisters area near Frastanz in Feldkirch district yesterday morning.

They called in rescuers after it got trapped when it slid down a steep incline and could not climb back up.
