Second case of boy getting stuck in post box

Vorarlberg had a second case of a young boy getting stuck in a post box within one week.

Fire-fighters in the town of Schwarzach said today (Fri) an eight-year-old climbed into a 120-centimetre-high post box – which is used to store mail for further transport – and got trapped last night (Thurs).

The boy’s father, who was only a few metres away, noticed what had happened and called the fire brigade, who cut the solid iron box open using special metal shears. The child was rescued uninjured, authorities said.

This case comes after Sebastian, 4, had to be rescued after climbing into a similar box in the town of Feldkirch on Monday.
