Fight over Jaggers ring continues

The fight over the proper reward for the finder of the 200,000 Euro ring of Bianca Jagger is becoming a never-ending story. Four and a half years after the find, the legal situation has not been resolved.

It now must be established how much the ring is actually worth and whether the regional court of Salzburg even has jurisdiction. Celebrity Bianca Jagger lost this ring, apparently worth 200,000 Euros, in the middle of Salzburg. The businessman Reinhard Ringler found the ring in the grass and thought it was worthless, and then gave this to his daughter to play with.

According to media reports about the ring, he gave the ring back to Mick Jagger’s ex-wife and is still waiting for the 10,000 Euro reward. He rejected Jagger’s offer to donate it to charity. Bianca Jagger told Ringler that the ring was designed by herself and was not worth 200,000, according to Ringler’s lawyer.

"This expert report which states that the ring is only worth 17,000 Euros was handed in two and a half years ago, but the court and I only received it a few days ago. It is the right of the finder to decide what to do with the reward, and not the right of the person who lost the item to determine what happens with that reward.  It is not a gift, but it is in fact a legal claim", stated Ringler’s lawyer.

Judge Friedrich Gruber must now decide whether the case will continue in Salzburg or in London, where Jagger normally resides.
