Childrens city gets child burglars

Childrens city gets child burglars

An interesting case for Vienna police this week who have been struggling to cope with the fact that the children city "Minopolis" not only has many professionals – it also has many burglars as well.

For those that don't know it "Minopolis" was set up as a model of a miniature city where every day hundreds of children are given jobs working everywhere from local hospitals through to bakeries and supermarkets and restaurants.

They are paid with a special currency that can be spent only in "Minopolis" and there are even policemen – but until now no burglars.

However a group of schoolboys aged 14 upwards decided to change that after breaking into the property 20 times and stealing sweets and music CDs from the stores.

Now police have managed to solve the problem after grabbing the game after they broke open the door to the building in Vienna's Donaustadt area and once again tried to make off with sweets.

The five were caught in the act and all have admitted their involvement.
