99 year old drives wrong way up motorway

An 99 year old driver was stopped by police after being found driving the wrong way up the A9 motorway near Roßleithen near Kirchdorf an der Krems, Austria.

The OAP told police he had became disorientated and had taken the wrong turning ending up on the motorway going in the wrong direction.

The elderly gentleman did not realise he was going the wrong way and only came to a standstill when an other motorists brought him to a standstill by beeping his horn and flashing his lights.

He pulled over to the hard shoulder and was rescued by police.

An alcohol test was negative.
