Innsbruck drug racket smashed
Ten people were arrested in a crackdown on trading in drugs in Tyrol.
Officials in Innsbruck announced today (Thurs) that the African dealers were supplied with illegal substances such as marijuana by a criminal based in Vienna. Around two kilograms of cannabis had been confiscated, they added. Investigations started already in May, according to news reports.
Only two weeks ago, two Serbians were arrested after police officers discovered heroin worth 1.7 million Euros at their apartment in Vienna and other flats in the city.
Police in the province of Lower Austria said recently a Croatian resident of the district of Mistelbach was put in custody for growing approximately 300 hashish plants in his house and garden. A few days later, another man residing in the district was caught hoarding cannabis worth 10,000 Euros.
