Teen skier seriously hurt

A teenage skier was hospitalised with severe head injuries after an accident in Gosau in Upper Austria’s Gmunden district.

The 14-year-old fell and hit his head on hard ground at the end of a piste on Saturday.

Police said the boy, who had been wearing a helmet at the time, was taken to the Christian Doppler Clinic in Salzburg.
