Ex-con kills wife and self

By David Rogers

An ex-convict stabbed his wife to death and then overdosed on drugs at their home in Linz, Upper Austria, police have said.

Police said yesterday (Thurs) the decomposing bodies of a 32-year-old man and his wife were found yesterday after the man’s worried father had called them when he failed to get in touch with his son or daughter-in-law.

They said jealousy may have been a motive for the murder, which took place in November. They said the man had recently been released from prison and may have suspected his wife had been unfaithful during his incarceration.
