Drug dealer jailed for four years

A 39-year-old has been jailed for four years after he offered an undercover cop 1.5 kilos of heroin.

Feldkirch District Court in Vorarlberg sentenced the Serbian-born man yesterday (Weds) after it heard how he had given an undercover policeman eight grams of heroin in Bregenz and then arranged to sell him a total of 1.5 kilos of the drug 10 days later for 73,000 Euros.

The policeman arrested the man at their next meeting.

Police said the man had been sent to Vienna from Sweden, where he had been living, to sell the heroin stash.

They said the man had turned to drug dealing to finance his addiction to gambling.
