Four kids hurt as off-road bike ploughs into audience

Four children were hospitalised after a quad bike crashed into spectators at a stunt show in Vorarlberg yesterday (Sun).

Police in Röthis, in Feldkirch district, said today the driver of a quad – an off-road four-wheel bike – fell off the vehicle after losing control of it and the bike then ploughed into a group of onlookers at the town’s ÖAMTC driving training centre.

The four children, aged between three and 12 years, were watching the stunt show from behind a barrier.

Authorities said they were treated for injuries before being released from Feldkirch Clinic on the same day.

It has not been announced whether the organisers or the 33-year-old driver are to face charges.
