Two thirds of Austrian students want more information about the European Union (EU) and current European issues, according to a new survey released today (Weds).
In the poll of 1,577 students by the Austrian Society for European Politics, 66 per cent said they wanted more information about education and study in Europe, 62 per cent on Austria and the EU and 43 per cent on EU enlargement.
Also in the poll, 54 per cent said they wanted events held at their schools during which they could talk with EU experts, and 27 per cent wanted the EU to become part of the school day, possibly through special classes on it.
The poll was taken between October 2008 and June 2009.
