Man crushed to death by 200-kilo gravestone

Police are investigating after a 40-year-old was killed when a 200-kilo gravestone fell on top of him.

Officers said G�nther Link had been at the Weinhaus Church yard in Vienna-W�hring on Sunday when he was crushed by the huge stone.

Police spokesman Roman Hahslinger said today (Weds) foul play had been ruled out and fingerprints on the shrine had revealed the man had touched it before it fell.

Hahslinger added that police were investigating whether a defect in the stone had caused the accident.
