A 57-year-old crook has been jailed for two years for a one Euro robbery.
A court in Vienna today (Tues) heard how the cash-strapped Vorarlberg-based man had headed to the capital in November 2007, taking an old army knife with him as there was "so much scum and gangs" in Vienna and when he got there threatened a passerby with the words: "Give me one Euro!"
His victim handed over the money but the man was arrested a few hundred metres down the road.
The judge defended the stiff sentence, saying the defendant had a long record of various crimes.
The man has appealed.
