Generali Bank has new leadership

Generali Bank reported yesterday (Mon) that it had new leadership following a meeting of its supervisory board.

It said that Susanne Althaler, 50, and Johann Berger, 60, would replace Roman Sigmund, 55, and Herbert Hofbauer, 59, as the bank’s two board members.

Supervisory board chairman Luciano Cirina said the bank had entered a phase of consolidation after years of expansion and the transition made a change of management appropriate.

He claimed Generali, with 70,000 customers, had established itself in the direct banking segment and become a provider of comprehensive financial services.
