FlyNiki starts Vienna - Bucharest service

Austrian budget airline FlyNiki has opened a Vienna – Bucharest route.

The company, which began the flights on Monday, is now offering flights every day between Sunday and Friday between Vienna International Airport (VIA) and Bucharest’s Henri Coanda Airport, Romanian Times has reported.

Meanwhile struggling Austrian Airlines (AUA) – a main FlyNiki rival – is continuing to dismiss staff, according to Austrian daily Der Standard.

The newspaper claims today (Thurs) the firm told labour market officials it could sack up to 530 staff by the end of March.
