Austria good expansion location, new study shows

Austria is one of Europe’s most attractive retail investment locations, a new survey has shown.

The country came sixth in a poll among European retail companies asking them where they were planning to expand their businesses by the end of 2010.

British real estate consulting firm CB Richard Ellis said today (Fri) Germany topped the ranking with 47 per cent of the 220 businesses surveyed saying they considered expanding there, while France came second (44 per cent).

Spain was third with 36 per cent, followed by Poland (34 per cent), Italy (33 per cent). Austria had 30 per cent.
