The Crater Escape: UFOs Flock to Volcano

Astonishing footage of UFOs apparently hovering over a volcano in Mexico are being studied by scientists who believe they may have found an extra-terrestrial meeting place.

The black and white footage - filmed at Popocatepetl - shows what looks like several craft disappearing behind the volcano's peak after arriving within seconds of each other.

"Some seem to be dipping into the actual crater of the volcano and then emerge again while others seem to stay behind," said one expert.

"It's very interesting and it doesn't seem to be a meteorite shower because they arrive at different trajectories and speeds but all seem to head for the same spot," they added.

Last year footage of a cigar-shaped UFO filmed over the active volcano - known as El Popo to locals - sparked another mystery as the object drifted nose down into the crater.

Experts from the International Astronomical Union ruled out meteorite claims and theories that it could have been falling debris.

Some though dismissed the footage as an elaborate prank.

So far this month there have been eight UFO sightings in Mexico which some say have been sparked by secret tests of new USA air force spy planes.
