Marios Miracle

Manchester City playboy Mario Balotelli has turned to religion after announcing to pals that he plans to make a pilgrimage to a holy shrine.

The premiership striker is to visit Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared as a vision to six schoolchildren 31 years ago.

The shrine became famous to football fans earlier this year when Man City coach Roberto Mancini made a pilgrimage there while his club was locked in a title battle with rivals Manchester United.

And Italian showgirl Raffaella Fico - pregnant with the star's baby - also visited the shrine this year.

"It is very likely that Mancini will come with him," said one source at the miracle town.

During his two visits to the town Mancini met one of the child 'seers' who saw the vision and climbed Apparition Hill, where the miracle is said to have happened.
