It might look like Huang Lu is off his trolly, but he reckons this bizarre contraption is anything but barking.
Huang, 71, constructed the home-made rickshaw from an old container truck trolly, adding a seat, a steering joystick, and a harness for his faithful five-year-old German Shepherd dog.
"I know it's not pretty but it works," said Huang, from Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, southern China.
"I'm too old to ride my bike now and I can't afford a car. My dog doesn't mind and is too well trained to chase cats," he added.
