Falling Out

A man who locked his girlfriend out on his apartment balcony after a passionate sex session is facing jail after she fell to her death.

Engineer Bernard Pucker, 55, says he shut Iwona Nolovic, 48, out during a furious row following the romp at his flat in Berlin, Germany.

"After we'd had sex she became aggressive. She threw a laptop over the edge, then my clothes. She threw away a pair of my trousers with 3000 Euros in the pocket.

"I found it difficult to deal with the situation," he told the court.

Pucker - charged with causing his girlfriend's death through false imprisonment - then locked the door and went to sleep, ignoring her pleas to be let back in.

"I heard her cries for help, but I laid in bed and ignored her. She had a phone on her she could have called for help. She could also have smashed the balcony door," he said.

"I didn't think she would try to climb over the balcony. She did not have suicidal tendencies and she was not crazy, but she had drunk quite a lot of alcohol," he added.

The case continues.
