Wedding Snatch
Light-fingered Chinese groom Chen Lu paid the price when he decided to pocket two pocket cameras while his wife chatted to a photographer about wedding photographs.
After the couple had left the shop in Xinyi city, east China’s Jiangsu province the theft was noticed and Chen was identified by a hidden CCTV camera and arrested.
He was dumped by his furious bride-to-be when police turned up at his door, and then a month later was jailed for three years and fined 1,000 pounds for stealing the two cameras – worth 850 pounds together.
