Great Fall Of China

Six-year-old Shing Wei survived after deciding to put his flight simulator game into real practice by jumping off a fifth floor building holding an umbrella in Shanghai, China.

The youngster had been playing on the game all day long until his mother took it away and told him to go outside and play. But instead of going downstairs he went on to the top floor of the five-storey block of flats with an umbrella and wrapped himself in as many coats and jumpers as he could to cushion the fall.

He then jumped off the roof.

But he escaped without any serious injuries other than minor cuts and bruises because he hit several washing lines on the way down and then finally landed on an awning.
