10-y-o Mum: Get back with Dad
Health bosses caring for the 10-year-old who has become one of the world's youngest mums are trying to stage a reconciliation with the tot's estranged 13-year-old dad.
The child couple split weeks before the mum - identified only as Elena - gave birth to the 6lb 6oz baby last week at a hospital in Jerez de la Frontera, in south-west Spain.
Now Spain's Andalusian Women's Institute has revealed that local health officials are trying to bring the "whole family" back together again.
"Her family are very happy at the birth of the baby, something that may seem surprising from the western perspective," said institute head Soledad Perez.
The girl - who comes from a large Romanian gypsy family - is recovering from the birth in a private apartment with her family.
