Road hogs
These two tiny road hogs caused a 30 mile traffic jam when they escaped onto
a busy motorway - and gave police and vets the slip.
The mini Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs were being transported to a new home
when they made a bid for freedom through a loose trailer door as they were
pulling out of a service station in Werdohl, Germany.
"We managed to round up one of them with a dog lead because they're
really pets and not farm animals at all," said one officer.
"But the other one seemed to be hearing the call of the wild and kept as
at bay for the best part of an hour," he added.
