Mow-ter sports

When it comes to mow-tor sport, these oddball racers just won't be beaten.

Potty F1 fans in Waltrop, Germany, have adapted common of garden lawnmowers for their own series of grand prix races.

With their specially tuned engines, these 20 bhp mowers can reach more than 30 mph on the straights, say fans of the sport, who reckon they're on the cutting edge of motorsport.

"It's fast, and there are plenty of shunts and spin-outs and you can even practice when you're supposed to be gardening," said one fan.
