Bible get a magazine makeover

The Bible has been given a modern makeover to turn it into a trendy looking magazine for people who want to look cool by the pool.

The idea for the magazine Bible was from Oliver Wurm from Hamburg, Germany, who said: "Everybody reads magazines but the traditional Bible is not really very user-friendly.

"I have split up the various parts to create a magazine version of the New Testament."

The result means it is possible to read the bible and still look cool by a public pool wearing sunglasses.

Wurm, 40, who is a devout Christian said he wanted to make it easier for the message of the Bible to be spread using a medium many could relate to."

The official website of the magazine bible, www.bibelalsmagazin.de, claims that it took 500 hours to produce the magazine bible and says that distinctive sentences were made to stand out just as the best quotes in magazines.

Large numbers of photographs are also used to illustrate the various passages in the magazine.
