Going down on the Titanic

The magazine that outraged Madeleine McCann's parents with a sick spoof has infuriated Catholics with a cover showing Jesus on the cross receiving oral sex from a priest.

German satirical weekly Titanic is facing a criminal investigation on indecency charges after thousands of complaints about the cover from shocked church goers, confirmed state prosecutor Joerg Claude

Magazine boss Leo Fischer said: "What I'm really surprised about is that we have so many Catholic readers."

The mag horrified Madeleine McCann's parents Kate and Gerry when it ran a sick spoof ad poking fun at their missing daughter.

  • Luis A. F. Wetzler JD wrote on 20. 04. 2010 from Buenos Aires, Argentina about "Going down on the Titanic..."

As Philip Jenkins a highly estimated academician from Oxford had said, nothing is enough amongst those who want to destroy Catholicism. This photo is not only obscene and totally immoral, but represents what a large part of the media in Europe (UK, Germany and Austria mainly) and in the USA are doing, a coordinate and well prepared attack against the Catholic Church, regarding paedophilia. Professor Jenkins pointed out in his work “Paedophiles and Priests” only 1,7 Catholic priests were involved in these criminal activities since the 1980’s, and almost 10% of Protestant ministers, even those married, were involved in the same crimes and never convicted in most cases. Is quite obvious that the vast majority of perpetrators are relatives, classmates, professors, teachers (most in the UK and the USA) and others, but the only one who has been blamed for this crime is the Roman Catholic Church. What this picture shows is something that should be condemned not only by people like me, a fervent Catholic, but by everybody without taking into account their affiliation to any religion, or if they are simply agnostics. This is too much, and this porno magazine should face justice, and law must prevail.
