Commonwealth Games officials have recruited 1,300 crack cowboys to rid New Delhi's streets of cows and bulls before the event begins in October.
The Indian capital has an estimated 60,000 cows - considered holy by Hindus - roaming the streets unchecked with many thousands making a bee-line for good grazing of grass around the main stadium, said Mayor Kunwar Sain.
A second team, he added, is to be set up to remove 250,000 stray dogs from the city streets.
