Mafias human emails

A Mafia don's 'human emails' have been arrested in one of Italy's biggest clampdowns on how the Cosa Nostra do business.

Fugitive Matteo Messina Denaro - the most wanted mobster in Italy - lost 20 personal couriers when police nabbed them carrying Mafia "pizzini", Sicilian slang for a small piece of paper.

The don's brother Salvatore and 19 henchmen were arrested in the swoop in Palermo, Sicily.

"The Cosa Nostra don't use texts or emails and phones can be traced and bugged. They like the old fashioned ways that have worked for them for generations," said one expert.
