Bloody fans

Shocking YouTube footage of a young fan writing love letters to her pop idol in her own blood have outraged authorities in South Korea.

These harrowing images show a young teenager cutting her wrist with a school craft knife before penning the letter with her finger dipped in her own blood.

The letter - to a home grown rock star - reads: "Lee Chang-sun, don't forget me. You're the only one for me. I love you. Remember me."

Youngsters in the country have developed an obsession with celebrity in excess of anything previously seen in the West.

But critics are horrified at the film, which became an internet sensation in South Korea.

"How a film like this can end up on the internet is outrageous. This girl needs help, not publicity," said one
