Human Barbies world record

On the face of it, it seems a tough way to earn a world record.

But the woman once dubbed the human Barbie doll has been named by Guinness World Records as the planet's most surgically enhanced woman for the 11th year in a row.

And to celebrate Cindy Jackson - an eye defying 54-year-old - unveiled another stunning new look as a tribute to her favourite movie star Brigitte Bardot.

Her amazing blonde bombshell makeover is a testament to the 50 plus cosmetic procedures she has undertaken at a cost of more than 150,000 EUROS.

But Cindy has no plans to stop now, vowing to keep updating her looks well into her seventies and beyond as she continues to defy the ageing process.

"As long as I can get some improvement, no matter how small, I'll do it because it all adds up." says Cindy, who emigrated from Ohio, USA, to London 30 years ago.

"People say you should grow old gracefully and for me, that is exactly what I am doing! There is nothing graceful about falling to pieces and letting yourself go.

"I have all the benefits of wisdom that come with age but see no reason why I should let those years show in my face.

"The concept of being 'old' does not exist for me. Instead I prefer to consider myself 'honed to perfection' - by life as much as the surgeon's scalpel.

"Some say that life begins at 40, but I am loving my 50's. On a good day I get chatted up by men in their twenties who think I'm their age and on a bad day I look like I'm in my thirties.

"Women like Joan Collins, Sophia Loren or Sharon Osbourne inspire me as they look fantastic for their age and continue to live life to the full.

"Some people are waiting for me to go one step or one operation too far but I won't give them the satisfaction.

"I know my subject like no one else on the planet and I only go to the very best surgeons. That's why thousands of people write to me for advice on their own surgery and I run a consultancy business on the best options available."

Cindy, who created her own range of home microdermabrasion products used by all the top celebrities (available from her web-site www.cindyjackson.com) is constantly looking for new procedures to enhance her beauty.

She has just been named as the face of the Strawberry, a state of the art cold laser machine with features designed to help people lose weight, erase eye bags and stretch marks.

"The amazing thing is that it's totally non-invasive and safe" said Cindy, who has gone under the knife for 14 major operations.

"I wanted to try the Strawberry myself after hearing so many of my clients rave about it.

"It was absolutely painless - in fact I fell asleep during most of the treatments.

"I am delighted with the results, especially the tightening of the skin on my neck.

"The Strawberry has proved there is a wonderful alternative for people who either don't want, or aren't suited to, full scale surgery.

"I started to get a lot of enquiries from all over the world about laser technology and it's definitely the coming thing.

"Having experienced it myself I recommend it highly, and I'm going back for more treatment to fine-tune my knees.

"The machines are already in clinics in Britain and are going global soon, so after your Blackberry, the Strawberry is the very latest must-have technology."

Cindy began her transformation in 1988 when she inherited money after the death of her father.

"It's the strangest thing but without thinking I decided 'I'm going to change myself...I'm going to have lots of cosmetic surgery and look gorgeous.

"The first thing I had done was my eyes - I had my lower and upper bags removed.

"Of course I was scared but I figured I had nothing to lose and it was a huge success.

"I could see an instant improvement and also more opportunities for work.

"I was already planning my next operation.

"The biggest shock was how differently people treated me.

"In shops, or meeting new people, I was the same person but people would be nicer and pay me more attention.

"With the surgery, I had started with the things that bothered me most - my eyes and nose - and worked from there.

"Now I have a few things done every year from Botox injections to plump-up fillers.

"I look in the mirror and think 'Hmm, this is beginning to sag, or that lip's gone down a bit.'

"It's like maintenance on a car or a house!"

Cindy has had facelifts, breast enhancements, Restylane injections, nose jobs and liposuction, to name but a few, and has been dubbed the "real life Barbie doll."

But fame has brought its problems with jealous copycats, stalkers and spiteful posts on the internet.

"It's nice when people say you look great but there is a down side and I have had plenty of nasty comments as well, with people calling me vain and shallow.

"People made fun of my big nose and funny looks before, now they criticise me for doing something about it. You can't please everybody so over the years I learned to listen only to myself.

"I outgrew the boring Barbie tag so I had more surgery 18 months ago to look just like my heroine Brigitte Bardot.

"At first I wasn't sure about being in the Guinness Book of Records but so many people thought it was cool, so now I love it!

"Loads of stars in Hollywood spend their lives denying they have had treatments but I'm happy to admit it.

"As long as I inspire other people and help them to be happier with the way they look, I'll carry on telling my story.

"I feel younger than ever and as if life's just beginning with so many new experiences to come."
