We've all been driven up the wall trying to find a parking spot, but this motorist seems to have taken the challenge literally at a DIY store in Salzgitter, Germany.

Police say 78-year-old Brigitte Dentler was left dangling from the boundary wall after her car shot backwards at high speed and flew off towards the pavement.

"She had a problem with her clutch and the next thing she knew she and her car were sitting in the queue at a bus stop," said one officer.

"She was a bit shaken up but at least she was well placed to catch the bus home," he added.
