A British artist is suing Polish clean-up campaigners after his picture of a dog's backside was ripped off to launch an anti dog poo campaign.

Leading graphic artist Joby Barnard states that he created the image first - while Polish painter Piotr Jeczmienczuk claims the picture is all his own work.

Campaign organisers in Zielona Gora realised they'd put their foot in it after an internet search revealed the uncanny similarity between the two images.

Barnard told Polish media: "It's a disgrace I wasn't consulted and I'm also sad he couldn't be bothered to find the time to think up an idea of his own.

"He must have been desperate. I hope he has a good lawyer."
