Golden Retriever

Arco the giant Schnauzer has dug up a 150,000 GBP fortune for his owner after uncovering a sock stuffed with precious gold and diamond jewellery.

Owner Herbert Taucher, 39, thought Arco had caught a mole when he trotted back from a run in a park in Dueren, Germany, with a black size 11 sock in his mouth.

But inside there was a massive collection of bling - including rings, necklaces and bracelets, all studded with huge diamonds.

Now under lost property laws Arco's owner may get to keep the haul.

"As long as it isn't stolen and the owner doesn't come forward, it's all his. His dog deserves a few extra bones," said one officer.
