Brit teacher jail threat on dope charge

A British teacher is facing three years in prison today (thurday) after being found lying drunk in a Polish street with a pocket full of cannabis.

The 36-year old teacher - who cannot be identified for legal reasons - was discovered unconscious on the pavement after a night out in Warsaw, Poland.

Police said that when they woke him, he was so drunk they couldn't work out where he was from.

"It was obvious this guy wasn't Polish but we couldn't work out where he was from.

"My English is pretty good, but he was so drunk he couldn't even tell us his name. In fact, he couldn't even breathe into the breathalyser," said one of the arresting officers.

But after searching his clothing, the police then found a plastic bag packed full of marijuana.

The teacher is due to appear before magistrates today (Thursday).
