Danny Boyle tired of Slumdog stars demands

Slumdog director Danny Boyle has walked out on his child stars after a series of bust-ups with them in India.

Boyle was in New Delhi to help deal with a series of claims for cash from the trust fund he set up to help the youngsters until they reach 18.

But the charity says "frustrated" Boyle has ended the talks after endless demands for more money.

"He is tired, really tired, the demands are now sky-rocketing," said Jai Ho Trust spokesman Noshir Dadrawalla.

"Danny is tired, Danny is frustrated at these demands and has left for England. He is very, very upset," added Dadrawalla.

The charity revealed that the young actors and their families had issued a series of demands they expected Boyle to meet.

During the meeting Boyle was asked to provide a car for Azharuddin Ismail, who played the title role as a young boy.

And co-star Rubina Ali wants a further 30,000 GBP to add to the the 50,000 her family has already been given for an apartment.

Both actors are also demanding 35,000 GBP of health insurance for their entire families.

Slumdog Millionaire - about a boy born in poverty who becomes a gameshow millionaire in India - grossed an estimated 250 million GBP worldwide.
