Prickly customer

Police are used to dealing with prickly customers, but perhaps never one quite like this.

Herbie the hedgehog triggered a full scale police rescue when he got trapped in a fence passing through Heinz Fischer's garden in Kaarst, Germany.

Officers freed the spiky specimen with bolt cutters before carrying him to a nearby field and releasing him back to the wild.
