Homeless OAP sells house to raise cash for kids clinic

An 85-year-old man gave 100,000 GBP to a children's hospital after selling his house and begging on the streets to raise cash.

Joe Csarmaz sold off all his possessions and now lives in a cardboard box after donating all the money he raised to allow medics to buy life-saving X-ray and heart scanning machines.

"I feel sad for those children who can not live a full life because they are sick. I have lived 85 years, and now I think it is their turn to be happy.

"That is why I do not mind living in absolute poverty, knowing that at least they'll be better off," said Csarmaz, who used to work at the Tuzolto Utca Children's Clinic in Budapest, Hungary.
