New works by Canadian artist Stefan Fiedorowicz will be on display in Vienna next month.
The 56-year-old announced yesterday (Thurs) his paintings would be on display at the People’s Party’s (ÖVP) premises in Hernals from 8 June.
"The opening is taking place on at 7 pm on Monday, 8 June," Fiedorowicz told the Austrian Times. Entry will be free of charge, the artist added.
The exhibition organised by the Hernalser Kulturkreis (Culture Circle Hernals) will be called "Was Augen nicht sehen…" (What Eyes Don’t See…) and feature expressionist paintings. It will run until 1 July (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 11am).
Fiedorowicz moved to Austria three years ago. He said the open-mindedness of Austrian people when it came to art helped him slot straight into life here and brought him opportunities he'd never have thought possible. Today, he is working as a bilingual teacher at a school in Vienna.
