The jury in the Austrian incest trial has found Josef Fritzl found guilty of murder, meaning he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Fritzl, 74, was also found guilty of rape, incest, and enslavement.
Court psychiatrist repeated her recommendation from yesterday (Weds) that he should be sent to a secure psychiatric facility for deranged delinquents.
In his final statement, Fritzl told the jury today: “I regret what I’ve done from the bottom of my heart.”
Fritzl initially pleaded not guilty of rape but plead guilty to all charges in a shock twist yesterday (Weds).
A full report on today's court proceedings will soon follow.
